    Protocol Testing Types:-

    There are different types of protocol testing. Some protocol testing types are mentioned as below:-
    1- Functionality Testing
    2- Performance Testing
    3- Protocol Stack
    4- Interoperability

    When we perform protocol testing then we have to verify mainly three checks mentioned as below:-

    • Correctness:- Do we accept packet X at what time we assumed.
    • Bandwidth:- How much packets we can dispatch per second.
    • Latency:- How much time taken by a packet to transfer the system.

    Protocol testing can be separated into two groups:-

    1- Stress and Reliability Tests:- This contains

    • Stress testing
    • Load testing
    • Performance testing

    2- Functional Tests:- This contains

    • Interoperability testing
    • Negative testing
    • Conformance testing
