Heading off to Business School to pursue an MBA, or starting a new company is obviously an exciting time in your life.

However (there is always one of those) it means that there are sacrifices to be made. If you’re in a relationship, one of the biggest sacrifices you will have to make is the amount of time you spend with your partner.

But hey, it doesn’t mean that your relationship is doomed. It doesn’t mean that you can only see your partner once every three months in between exams, trips abroad, investor meetings and and learning how to take over the world. In fact, lots of people are able to keep long-term alive and just as healthy as their new business.

First of all, it takes determination from both of you to make this work. It also takes positivity and belief in your relationship, as well as flexibility on both your sides. And in 2016, you also have something else fighting your corner - technology.

Yup, in 2016 there is an app for everything, and as it turns out, there are a number of apps that are super useful for MBA students and entrepreneurs alike who are trying to find a better way of managing both their studies, companies and their relationship.

Let’s take a look at how you can use tech to keep your relationship going strong, despite your busy schedule.

    Babysitter Apps

Every couple needs at least one date night a month I would even go as far as saying that we need them at least once a week!

Date nights strengthen your bonds, keep the flame of romance burning, and get you away from just “doing” all the time. But if you’re studying and you have a kid, getting away from it all now and then might seem impossible.

Babysitter apps help. With these apps, you can review the best babysitters in your town or city before inviting them to look after your little one while you and your partner enjoy an evening out.

If you’re not sure which app to use, check out these 7 best babysitter apps.

    Download Kindu

Kindu is an app that helps you and your partner to explore your sexuality. Now that you’re likely spending a bit more time apart from each other, it’s important that you don’t lose your level of intimacy. And while I’m not saying for any moment that an app can replace your sex life, what I am saying is that Kindu can keep your relationship exciting even when the two of you are very busy.

For example, the app gives each of you questions to answer about your desires, needs and preferences. Why not answer them throughout the day during your breaks? It’s certainly a great way of building the anticipation before you return home!

    Food Delivery Apps

You’ve had a stressful day at Business School and your partner has had a stressful day at work. The last thing either of you want to do is cook dinner.

So what’s the perfect solution? How about a food delivery app that will hook you up with some awesome take-outs and restaurants in your local area? All you and your partner need to do is decide what you want to eat, then place your order and wait for the delivery.

Food delivery apps ensure that you can both relax after busy days. Check out this list of some of the best food delivery apps.

    Download Simply Us

Simply Us is an awesome app that I recommend all couples download. Essentially, it’s a to-do list app that helps you and your partner keep on top of things now that you’re both really busy. You get to create and share calendars and delegate chores to one another.

It’s a very couples-focused app that also lets you share text messages and photos so that you can attach cute messages after you’ve completed a task. It’s definitely a terrific way of keeping stress at bay when your busy lives are conflicting so much that you’re not sure who is supposed to be doing what errand and when.

Don’t forget that, aside from all the innovative new apps available on the market, you can stay in touch with your partner at all times via text.

Naturally, you’re going to be busy a lot of the time, so you won’t be able to text them as much as you used to. But you’ve still got time now and then for the odd “I love you” or “I thought about you this morning” text.

It’s important that you remain in touch with your partner via text. It’s easy to do, and it’s a great way of keeping the threads of communication going when you’re absent. Send pics and videos - and don’t underestimate the power of a mid-afternoon emoji!!
