KDE is considered to be one of the most configurable desktop workspace for Linux. If you want to install KDE on Ubuntu 14.04 alongside Ubuntu, you can by typing just one command.
Open your terminal and type :
sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop
For all those who are willing to install KDE Plasma 5 in Ubuntu and missing the no more available PPA for project neon, here are the steps you need to perform.
First you need the add the PPA. Open your terminal and type :
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/next-backports
Update you repository index
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
Install KDE Plasma
sudo apt-get install kubuntu-plasma5-desktop plasma-workspace-wallpapers
Reboot you system. At login screen, both Unity and KDE options will be available. Choose KDE, enter your credentials and Enjoy.
