While using Visual Studio, there could be a need to compare two different areas of code etc from a single file. In other editors like notepad++ or sublime, same task can be easily achieved by opening the same file twice, but in Visual Studio this can be done using another way.
Step 1- Open the file that is to be shown multiple time, make it active by clicking anywhere in the file.
Step 2- Now select Window menu and then choose New Window.
Now we can see the same file opened twice in the editor with their names following a colon and a number. To show them side by side so we can easily compare different areas of the same file, right click on the tab of
any of the file and select 'New Vertical Tab Group'.
