Ubuntu is widely used open source OS. Ubuntu provides lots of customizable features but not more than windows. You can change the background color, theme and organize the icons by their name, type etc. In this article we will tell you about that how you can change the theme in ubuntu and also show you how icon images can be resized.

Change theme in Ubuntu : In this you can change the theme like how the top menu bar look like or other settings. Ubuntu comes with some pre-defined themes. To change the theme in Ubuntu follow the below steps :

Step 1 : Right click on desktop and select 'change desktop background' or you can also go using left side menu 'System Settings -> Appearance'

Step 2 : Here under the 'Look' tab you will see an option called 'Theme' below the 'Background'. On the right side you will see the dropdown which has following three default theme options: a) Ambiance (default) b) Radiance c) Hight Contrast

You can choose any one of the above them and make your desktop look different.

Change the size of icons in Ubuntu : Some of users feels uncomfortable with the small icons or some of users don't like big bulky icons. So their are different demands regarding to the size of icon. Ubuntu provides the control over the icon size. To change the size of the image icons follow this step.

a) Go to the 'System Settings -> Appearance' and at the end to the sceen you will see the option 'Launcher icon size' and you can changes it value from 0 to 100 as per your requirement. The size of the icons will be reflected at the time you scroll that scrollbar.
