  • How to stop Skype to open new window for every chat?

    When I am trying to do any chat activity in Skype, every chat window is opening in new window.

    I am facing this issue from last 3 days on my UBUNTU System, before that the chat window popup's in the same window, Don't know what key combination is pressed while typing, I had don a lot RND and checked Skype options too but didn't find any solution.

     

    Did anyone know to pop it back all in single window, where chat is opened next to contacts?

    Hello Manoj,

    Thanks for responding, solution you provided doesn't worked and one more thing in options it's Use Default view and user default view.

    One more thing the version of Skype I am using is 4.3.0.37

    Hi Sachin,

    Here is the solution for you in following steps:

    1. Click the Skype Icon on the top left of the main Window In the Menu
    2. In the Menu select "Options"
    3. In the resulting Window select "IM" on the left
    4. Then Check the checkbox to the left of "User Default View"

    And the problem is solved.
