  • Hi Aradya,

Dofollow links are those links which comes with HTML attribute that allow search engine bots to follow the links embedded on a web-page. If your website/page is linked to an authority website with Do-Follow attribute then, Google bots follow your link and passes some amount of link juice and authority from that website where you are linked.

Yes, do-follow backlinks help in influencing the PR of your website by transferring sufficient amount of link juice, authority and reliability from linked website.

Google has stopped displaying the PR metrices from DEC 2013, however PR is still a ranking factor for webpages.

    Hope I answered your query.

  • Dofollow links pass along what the SEO community commonly calls “link juice.” Links are a vote for quality. By learning which webpages are often linked to, search engines can determine how highly websites should rank in search results
  • Dofollow links allow google (all search engines) to follow them and reach our website. Nofollow links attributes do not allow search engine bots to follow link.So that is the difference between them :)
