During that time I could not work; I inherited the family homestead, a beloved place that my father, with a fourth grade education, built for his mother. The homestead passed down to him when she died. I inherited the home after my mother passed. There are major, critical foundation repairs needed, major replacement of plumbing, water, well, subfloor work as well as electrical and many other needs, including heating and cooling.
