Aloha,also called the Aloha method used in networking it is a multiple access protocol at the datalink layer.

It refers to a simple communications scheme in which each source i.e transmitter in a network sends a data whenever there is a frame to send on a specified location.

If the frame successfully reaches the other end i.e receiver, the next frame is sent by sender with a new content.If the first frame fails to be received at the destination,it is sent again by the user. This protocol is used in satellite communication

ALOHA protocol is required a method of handling collisions that occur when two or more systems attempt to transmit on the channel at the same time. Whenever this could happen it will create collision of data,To minimize the number of collisions, for optimizing its network efficiency and increasing the number of subscribers that can use to a given network, this scheme will used as slotted Aloha.
