Search engine optimization(SEO) is the process of maximizing the number of visitors to a particular website by ensuring that the site appears high on the list of results returned by a search engine.
Or we can say that the whole process of search engine optimization by implementing different techniques and steps is just to establish ones web page high ranked in search result page (i.e- Google, Yahoo, Bing etc) to invoke more relevant traffic to the website.
Techniques used in SEO
There are two types of SEO or SEO techniques used to optimized web ranking result higher in search engine page.
White Hat SEO- White Hat SEO are those terminology or techniques, which is used to improve website ranking in search engines by following search engine rules and policies.
Black Hat SEO- Black Hat SEO is a technique, which is used to improve website ranking in search engines in ways that are not allowed by search engines or against to search engine rules and policies, such as cheating or breaking the scatter machine, therefore it is also known as SEO Spamming.
Black Hat SEO includes-
Keyword stuffing- including unnecessary keyword in any page of web.
Doorway and cloaked pages- These are those pages which redirects user to other pages by providing wrong information just to increase page visitors.
Use of hidden text with keywords and links by using HTML codes for the web page.
Hence, as per the guidelines define by the search engine we should use only White Hat SEO for website optimization rather than using Black Hat because Black Hat SEO is banned by all the all the search engines.
