If you are setting up a mail client it's also necessary to configure an SMTP server which will take care of the delivery for your emails. SMTP server can be configured in 4 simple steps which are mentioned below:
1.Firstly,select the "Account Settings" in your mail client,which is generally found in the "Tools" menu.
2.Second ,then choose the "Outgoing server as(SMTP)" voice:
Outgoing server settings will be same as shown in the below image:
3.Next,click on the "Add" button in order to configure a new SMTP.A popup window similiar as displayed in image will appear:

Now simply fill the fields(voices) as follows:
a)Description: name that will be used to identify the server (oftenly it is best to use the email provider's, like Gmail or Yahoo).
b)Server Name: the original SMTP server's specification. You can searching it on our list of server POP and SMTP.
c)Port: SMTP works with port 25, but it can also work also with 587.
d)Connection security:SMTP email transfer doesn't provide inbuilt encryption.To make your connection more secure, use STARTTLS or SSL/TLS extension as a good choice,this provides a separate port for encrypted communication.
e)Authentication method: For this,there are certain number of methods like(passwords, CRAM-MD5, KERBEROS etc.).
f) User Name: your email address.
