Security testing is a type of software testing which is performed by experienced team of testers. The main objective of the Security testing is to ensure that the software is free from any loopholes that may cause loss to the data. Today need of Security testing has increased with the increasing use of web applications. Security testing intends to uncover all vulnerabilities of the software and to ensure that data and resources are protected from intruders.

Security testing checks how good a software has authorization mechanism and how strong is authentication, how does a software maintains integrity and confidentiality of a data, what is the availability of the software in event of attacks by hackers and malicious programs.
