Hey guys, Welcome back to "Part 4 - Types on Mask in Photoshop".
In this Blog i am gonna tell you about Quick Mask.
OK Let's get started.
Question 1: How to apply Quick Mask?
Quick Mask is simply a Mask, but slightly different from previous mentioned Masks.
It is used for selection purposes. Using Quick Mask, You can paint Mask through brushes.
Well let's see the Following example:-
- I have an Image on layer 1

- Select the brush tool or hit B on your keyboard.
- Click on the Mask icon shown in the image or you can press Q on the keyboard.

- Now, you can paint on the image. In this case I want the flower in a separate layer.

- So I will paint the area into red except the flower.

- OK, we have paint all the area. Now click again on the mask icon or press Q on the keyboard.
great !! we made a selection of the flower. Now press ctrl+J (this will make the copy of the selection into the new layer.)

Great !!! This is how the Quick Mask works.
Stay tuned for next part. thanks !!
