    Step-1 Go to browser.

    Step-2 Click on Question Mark which is located under your (?) in the top right corner of Odoo.

    Step-3 Click on about and Updates,Update Apps List and Apply Scheduled Upgrades.

    Step-4 Click on activate the developer mode.

    You can activate the developer mode in the About Box located under your username in the top right corner of OpenERP.
