• Defect Logging:-Defect Logging is a technique, which is used to determine issues or bugs in the software or application at the time of testing. This process is also performed when any product is under the test by the users and also user provide recording or capturing evaluation. And then building new editions of the application that resolve the issues or defects or the clients evaluation or feedback.
• Defect Tracking:-Defect tracking is a significant technique in the software engineering. For example if there is any product or application which have more defects, than it will be very difficult to manage, estimate and prioritize these issues or defects. For handling such conditions we use defect tracking system to make the task easy.

There are also few tools available in the market for the same like- QC (HP), Rational Quality Manager (IBM), JIRA, Bugzilla, Mantis etc. By using these tools we can track the defects easily.
