To target your some designs to other devices like tablets, there are solution for typical screen width:
For every case, your UI might not look perfect specially for the case of tablet, so you need to adjust your layouts/designs. Then you have to make other folder of layout for tables.
res/layout/splash_activity.xml : Its for handset device
res/layout-sw600dp/splash_activity.xml :Its for For 7 tablets 600dp wide and bigger
res/layout-sw720dp/splash_activity.xml : Its for 10 tablets
720dp wide and bigger
