Hello Readers..
By this blog i am sharing few important testing scenarios related to the GUI and Usability testing.
These are basic test scenarios. I hope these will help to all in time of writing test cases.
These are mentioned as below:-
1-Entire areas or fields on page (for instance- text boxes, dropdown lists, radio options etc) should be arranged correctly.
2-Numerical or Mathematical values should be proper justifiable except defined differently.
3-Sufficient gap should be granted among the field labels, rows, columns, error messages etc.
4-Scroll bar should be permitted only when required.
5-Font style, font size and font color for heading, narration text, labels, grid info, and infield data should be conventional as specified in System Requirement Specification.
6-After click of any input text field, mouse arrow hint or pointer should get converted to the cursor.
7-User or operator should not be able to write anything in drop down select lists.
8-Description or Explanation text box should be multi-line.
9-Verify if appropriate field labels are utilized in error messages.
10-Tab and Shift+Tab sequence should work correctly.
11-Default radio options should be pre-selected in time of page loading.
12-Dropdown field values should be demonstrated in determined sorting order.
13-Verify if appropriate field labels are utilized in error messages.
14-Verify all pages for broken images.
15-Verify all pages for broken links.
16-Every page should have title.
17-Page text should be left justified.
18-Verify if correct fields are emphasized in case of any error.
19-Verify that user or operator should be capable to select only one radio option and any union or combination for check boxes.
20-Confirmation or approval messages should be displayed before performing any update or delete operation.
