  • How to make 3D text in illustrator

    3D Text by using 3D Extrude & Bevel

     

    Step 1: Open up your document

    • You can open a new document of any size what you want.

     

    Step 2: Adding the text

    • Click on type tool (T) or press 'T' and drag a box on art board them type a text ' GRAPHIC ' in the box.
    • Now open a character panel and adjust the size and font of text. Make sure that the font type should be bold and easy to read.

     

    Step 3: Adding the color

    • We need to add the color in the text. First we select the text and go to the color panel. if the color panel is not open goto WINDOW > COLOR PANEL (F6).
    • Pick the color from color panel what you want. I am using red color in the text.

     

    Step 4: Apply 3D effect

    • Before using 3D option make sure all character should be in group (ctrl+G).
    • Now goto Effect > 3D > Extrude & Bevel and click on it.
    • Open a 3D Extrude & Bevel dialog box. There is cube inside the dialog box. the blue square in the cube is front face of text.
    • You can adjust the three axis inside the dialog box and also adjust the perspective option.
    • Now we are going to adjust the height of the text with 50px.
    • Select the bevel option and click on Tall- Round option. 
    • See the preview and hit ok button.

     

     

     

    We have created the 3D text by using 3D Extrude & Bevel option.
